We are a laboratory for the study and appraisal of ammonites & cretaceous marine fossils of the Bearpaw Formation of southern Alberta, Canada. With nearly 30 years experience with Ammonite Placenticeras Meeki, Intercalare & Costatum we provide officially recognized appraisal services for Tax, Insurance or Sale purposes.

We appraise our Bearpaw ammonites by first looking at the specimen from a Paleontological perspective: how it compares to similar ammonites from other geographical or geological areas – size, condition and rarity. Then it’s gemmological value is considered: grade, color(s) and quantity of gemstone is assayed according to published industry data. A final value combining the two aspects gives us the current valuation.
